Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park:Tour ruins of the former sugar mill plantation, a unique spring house, several wells, and crumbling foundations of the plantation house (early 19th century) and slave cabins. Canoe rentals, playground and picnic facilities and an interpretive center telling the history. Cost: $3.00 per vehicle for up to 8 people. Bulow Creek State Park: Fairchild Oak stands as one of the largest live oak trees in the south. Trails for hikers to explore the park. The trail is nearly seven miles long, takes hikers to Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park. Picnic in a shady pavilion or at a table on the lawn within view of the Fairchild Oak. Washington Oaks Gardens State Park: Diverse landscape with hardwood forests bordering tidal marshes along the intra-coastal waterway. Ornamental gardens, hammocks, coastal scrub, beaches and marshes.
