Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens- Is a showcase for paintings, drawings, video, mixed media, photography
and three-dimensional works of art. The Gardens continue to thrive, and
changing seasonal displays add to the beauty of the permanent plant collection.
The Emmons Cottage is one the few remaining structures from the early days
of Florida’s development. World War I and World War II monuments reside
on the property. Hours: Mon.- Fri., 10am to 4pm, Sat. & Sun. 12pm to
4pm, Closed: major Holidays and between exhibitions. Admission: $2.00 donation
per person. Museum members, senior citizens (60 and older) and children
admitted at no charge. The Gardens are also no charge & open from sunrise

The Mary McLeod Bethune Home-Museum: Mary McLeod Bethune (1875-1955) one of the best known figures of modern
African American history. She lived in the two-story frame home that was
built about 1914.until her death. The museum home with memorabilia from
her life and work, houses her books, personal papers, trophies, plaques,
and photographs. She also had an extensive collection of elephant figurines,
an animal she admired for its strength and powers of memory. The Mary McLeod
Bethune Home that she willed to the American people and her grave are on
the campus of Bethune-Cookman College. Open: Mon. and Wed. 9:15-11:30am,
Tues. 1-2pm and Thurs. 1-4:30pm, Fri. 10:15-11:30am 3-4:30 p.m. Tours are
limited to 20 persons at a time. It is best to visit while school is in

The African Museum Of The Arts: The Museum houses a revolving gallery where visitors will find works of both established and emerging artists. The Museum is also the home to a permanent collection of more than 150 artifacts, including sculptures and masks from countries of Africa.
